Last updated: June 2026. Fincile is designed for revenue integrity auditing with minimal retained financial data.
Shopify Data
Fincile requests access to your Shopify store data under the following OAuth scope: read_orders.
We use this data exclusively to run revenue integrity audits — matching Shopify orders against payment gateway records to surface gaps, duplicates, refund mismatches, and settlement discrepancies.
Shopify order data retrieved via the API is processed in memory during an audit run and is not retained in raw form after the run completes unless you explicitly enable source-file retention. Only normalized audit results (exception metadata, health scores, report summaries) are stored durably.
Data We Process
Fincile processes Shopify order exports, gateway transaction exports, audit summaries, exception metadata, merchant account records, billing state, and operational logs needed to provide the service.
Data Retention
By default, raw CSV and live API source data is processed in memory and discarded after each audit run. Normalized audit records (exception metadata, report summaries, health scores) are retained to power your audit history and trend tracking.
Audit records older than 90 days are automatically purged unless you are on a plan with extended history.
When you uninstall the Fincile Shopify app, all associated merchant data is permanently deleted within 48 hours per Shopify's GDPR data deletion requirements.
GDPR & Data Deletion
You may request deletion of all your data at any time by uninstalling the Fincile app from your Shopify admin, or by emailing support@getfincile.com.
We comply with Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks: shop/redact, customers/redact, and customers/data_request.
